I prefer Remy and his style, how was he?

Amazing! Great opening for Armin. Boris MD had a great set as well! All 3 DJ's were in a great mood. Full of energy, lots of interaction with the crowd!

PLUS - VANGUARD HAS DOUBLE PLASMAS ALL OVER THE DANCEFLOOR NOW! BOTH SIDES! Looks like 16 of them!

Courtesy of Saby from RED :) Unfortunatrly I think it was just for this Armin thing, so hopefully it will be back for Tiesto and double hoping they decide to keep it for good :)

I thought the same exact thing...It is for Tiesto. C'mon! Just leave em! The instalation prob took all day. I was @ Vanguard Friday night from like 2-3 AM and they weren't there. BTW - You want to hear an amazing house DJ in LA, check out DJ Brian Matrix.

Here's my video from last night. I love it how the lyrics of the vocals are played on the screens.

Here are my (sweaty) pics with TA's

cant believe the turnout, so much for TRANCE being dead

Yes, especially since from reading the TA forums, it is well known that TRANCE died in 1999 (I think it was July), then about 300 times over the next several years, and at least a hundred more times in the last several years alone, so news of its impending death comes as a great shock to me! :D

What I do hope dies is the poor quality of some tracks found in virtually every genre of music! :)

Unfortunately that is the truth in L.A. :conf:

minus - Tiesto, Armin, A&B, ATB, PVD

Blame the washing machines

Guess which famous TA that is...

...actually my Kanye West glasses were more popular than my T-shhirt. I think I'll get different colors of them.

(Trancenation wears goggles...I'll wear Kanye West/Daft Punk glasses.

I thought he was talking about the other shirt in that picture, you know the "Sex Instructor: First Lesson Free" one

I've been to Vanguard with a completely packed dance floor for Ksky/Second Sun/Sander van Doorn, Blank & Jones, C. Lawrence/JOOF, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, and many more. Judge Jules will be there this weekend, Blank & Jones will be there 6/14 and Above & Beyond 6/28...

Seems to me that TRANCE has survived yet another death and rebirth! I think Circus closing was more due to the club itself and all the rumors about it being demolished. I've heard the hip-hop nights there recently have been very low turnout also, so would be hard pressed to say that TRANCE is dying just because of Circus.

Of course, Vanguard tends to book "top of the top" DJ's and may be even more likely to do so now that there's less competition. I do think they would book Menno de Jong or pretty much any other DJ that plays well out at a massive, though. Even lesser known DJ's might be able to play there as openers, if they didn't mind giving up headliner status...
