PVD @ Vision 05/17/08 - review and pics (soon)

dang. PVD threw down tonight. Last time, I left feeling totally dissatisfied - it was a total "meh" night. He played rather slow, out of character, and it didn't work. Tonight, he was the PVD everyone goes to see. The BPM's were back up, and he was banging it out. I can't say he played like he did in 2004 - nor would I have expected him to - but he did play with a similar energy and flair - and the crowd ate it up. He threw on Rank 1 - Breathing (Breaks mix) towards the end, that was nice. Also played some other older stuff, it was cool. Some new versions of his classic tunes, that were OK (Crush, For an Angel) - but its hard to top the originals. Although I do enjoy Crush (Vandit Club mix). ok enough for now maybe I'll write more later.

Conclusion: it was really nice to see him back in a more "regular" form.

great set. the tracks were solid, and pvd seemed really involved throughout most of the night

a few to start off - you are totally right, another thing I wanted to mention - he was totally animated and into it last night - more so than Ive ever seen from him. Usually he is a bit statue-esque. Last night he was jumping around and you could really tell he was enjoying himself.

Anyone have a set list yet? I'd really like to know which songs he played and in order would be superb!

I've got some videos to share. I've posted 'em to YouTube, but I'll give anyone the originals if they want.
