Ah yes...the freakishly massive speakers. They made my heart skip so I can imagine the surrounding businesses just love them. We could hear the music loud and clear all the way from the middle of the parking lot in front of the movie theater. lol

O.k. Just got to work for 10am in Orlando, so operating off off about 3 hours of sleep here....

Short review:

Green Iguana: Nice place...open...good bars...setup was o.k. You can definitely hear the sound from the parking lot. Got kinda crowded when people thought they saw Ferry and rushed up to the front and then realized, nope, and stumbled back to the back. Good bathrooms. Overall though, I would go again.

DJ Mondo (I least I think that's who he was), played good...kept the energy flowing....mind you sometimes in different directions (I'll explain)........Since Ferry was late, Mondo and Solar were alternating and at times the crowd was getting weary for Ferry...so outta nowhere comes remix of Your Love "I don't wanna lose your love...etc" and everybody was into it lol...and he also played ummmm.....crap...can't remember...another cheesy hit rock/alt crossover song....and then "I need a miracle...etc" NOT ALL BACK TO BACK...but for some reason it all was o.k.

Suzy Solar(Completely don't know if that how you spell it, gimme a break I'm tired): I loved her style....she had her own flavor and sound from the musical selection she played. At times trance, and times hard hitting....I very much enjoyed her sound and would definitely go to another of her shows.

Ferry: Played good. Not as hard hitting, I least I think, as his Ultra carry-on set, but he was playing new stuff and it all sounded good. I couldn't ask more anything else really...( I would name some songs, but I suck at that sometimes, so I'll leave that to the ID professionals...i'll help out where i can later.

NOw the only only con for the night is that Ferry came on late....like just before 1am, but he played til 3 solid...so he tried to make up. And then as the club people are trying to get everybody out, Ferry still stopped to sign things and take pictures.

Except for one f-ing awesome track, it was sorta tech/electro (he played it during the second half of his set...jebus I wanted to get the track immediately...i wish i had taken a video so I can post it so someone could help me...LOLz....

That one BIG think I definitely admire about Ferry, he definitely enjoys his fans and always tries to make time to greet them. Kudos!

Now I think I'm going to pass on Junkie XL on Saturday(going to wet n wild in the daytime and will be completely tired, but definitely going to MSTRKRFT on June 14th at Firestone, Orlando....Maybe i should post that in events or something...even though it's not really trance...heh...

P.S. I guess that wasn't short...ah wellz...

I don't think Ferry came on until about 1:10... Suzy Solar was fantastic.

That was definitely Mondo playing that Use Your Love crap.

At least Miracle was the new Inpetto mix, its good.

Venue was surprisingly good. It got super crowded, then thinned out, then super crowded... drinks were pretty pricey but whatever. The system sounded good, they have definitely put in a lot of work to the place.

Sounds pretty awful, glad I didn't go.

it was good to meet Meeko and James West. Saw a few other people I hadn't seen out in a long time.

Brent! It was great seeing you from far away. We wanted to tell you congratulations but the police told us to stay put. I yelled it but I'm not sure if you saw me or heard me.

Awsome to see you and Terry too!!... It really has a been a long time.

I too was disappointed that Ferry came on late, and after the total body mashing from Armin on Monday I took a very low key approach to last night. Standing in the front for 2.5hrs knowing that if I left for a water that I'd never make it back up. That bummed me out a bit.

But as far as the venue.... I mainly went for the novelty of it b/c it was soo close to where I live and not in Ybor. The whole place was really impressive. I can say that that whole atmosphere was better than anything I've seen in Ybor. (possibly b/c it's just so different and new and not in Ybor...:))

I left at 2am b/c I'm getting married tomorrow and didn't want to be all tired and banged up for tonight and through the weekend.

Brian and Suzy as always pleasure seeing you all and of course Colleen.

Mondo... garbage... was it not an obvious trance/ EDM type crowd enough for you to realize not to play that latin/whatever it was crap??? And the voice overs!?? Dude.. this is not some 9.33FLZ Saturday night power jam... Ferry was very average. Suzy was the performer of the evening...nice job!!

Overall the music was very avg with Suzy and Mondo cancelling each other out and Ferry being avg, but the newness of the club and atmosphere was defintely A+... Nice work Green Iguana!!! Very impressed.

I looked for the shirt but never saw it.

zewad - right on with the DJ reviews. I didn't see all of Ferry so can't say he was just average, but what I saw was decent, not bad, not amazing. guess that's average. Suzy was great.
