need advice on Firewire Audio Interface

ok so far I have:
-Roland XP60 + synthesizer
-M-Audio Axiom 61 (needs a fixin' first)
-Ableton 6
-Dell d400 (2gb mem, 120 gb w/ external 500gb/2.0gHz proc.)
dont have:
a hammer to bust open my laptop with. lol
anyways, does anybody have an idea as to what kind and where I could buy an affordable audio interface. I have found some time here and there to configure settings on the laptop, but have had MAJOR latency problems which I know are the result of my onboard sound card.

| How much is affordable? I have an MBox2 Mini and it rocks. Plug and play, comes with Pro Tools, around $250. Or a Presonus Firebox is another good one. |
