hey guys so i purchased the Jupiter 8v and got in the mail about an hour ago. i can get the standalone vers to work (only when the USB key stick is in there) but once i remove the USB stick it won't let me load the program. any idea?
also ableton wont' recognize the dll -- this is mildly frustrating |

The 'USB stick' is a dongle, isn't it? I'm pretty sure that Arturia uses the same SyncroSoft dongle that Cubase uses, so it won't work without the dongle attached to the computer. That's the whole idea.

You can torrent dongle emulations. Even though it is illegal since you bought it i wouldn't feel guilty.

Yeah that would be the only time I would condone a cracked version...to get around all the bull they force you to use even though you bought it legally.

There's no dongle crack for the Jupiter 8v, trust me on that one. I've been drooling over that piece of software since I saw it just haven't had a chance to blow any money lately, so I've been keeping an eye out for the "in the meantime". If the dongle's annoying or taking up ports you want to use, I would just get a little USB hub and put it off to the side or what not.

Yeah the dongle thing is pretty annoying. But worse is it (Jupiter-8V) totally kills my cpu :(
