Review: Toi Bar 5/21/08 Alicia Hush's Birthday Party

So I got to Toi Bar around 10:30 ... it was pretty dead but the music was already amazing
As the night went on the crowd got thicker and thinner .. but the music was always worth sticking around for. I had planned to stay for just a littttttle bit and just chill, no dancing, no drinking nothing.. but that got thrown out the window pretty damn fast. All the djs took turns randomly rotating throughout the night and things got crazyyy.
Alicia Hush never disappoints. If you haven't heard one of her sets yet what the hell are you waiting for. Obviously it was her birthday so that was reason enough to stop by. The sounds this girl throws out are insane and her vibe? Crazy. I couldn't stop dancing whenever she got on the decks.
The boys of YM always impress me.. same with Alicia.. if you haven't heard them you need to. These guys are grabbing the scene by the balls and shaking things up. Always a great time with them around
and of course.. The Roaches.. Mr Carlio [[my teddybear haha good times]] and Nathan Barato [[Mr Nosekiss himself]] are always worth going out for. Never have I been bored.. whether theyre spinning or just hanging around . these guys are by far my favorite residents ... incase you hadn't figured it out by now ;) .. and always worth going out for

It was great seeing so many familiar faces last night and meeting some fun new people :) The music was awesome, the crowd was fun and Toi Bar is just a fun little location
My only complaints?
Sometimes its a bit too loud.. but maybe my ears haven't recovered from last weekend yet :p
and the fact that more people didn't come out .. what are you all waiting for? Wednesday at Toi is one of the best weekday events.. get off the couch and show some support because these guys and girl definitely deserve it ! |

| Good times at Toi, everyone killed it but mackett (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was DJ of the night from YM. Dirty mother f*cker. Good little spot, music was a little loud but overall good times were had. |

Since my discovery of Toi bar I have gone every Wednesday.
What can I say I am addicted YM and Alicia.
So awesome for NayNay and Carlo to do be a part of this, hearing them in this little intimate venue was a treat.
Makett has only been spinning for a year and you wouldn't know it, he has skills pouring out of him. Your right Jay dirty motha aaa.:whip:
