I liked it, good track selection, I was familiar with a few tracks.
It's a good introduction to those who are not into that kind of sound.
I really liked tracks 15 and 16 which were new to me

Sometimes I would have liked mixing to be more dynamic or varied to give the mix a bit more punch. I agree with noikee comment about energy.

Great mix mate! That track with the double bass at ~24:30 is the absolute funk!

Good stuff :)

cool

yeah, i guess its more a demo of what i like and how i mix it.

i've done the beginning/middle/end thing so many times that I really just wanted to do something different for me. this one is all about setting moods.

it's really important for me that it has a general atmosphere or tangible vibe, because as a deejay i feel that's what i have to offer that has the potential of being unique and captivating more than anything else

whether i can do that ill leave up to you guys haha

So I got about half way through until I saw that Real World was on (ing love that show), and I was really enjoying it.

The first mix really threw me off though, just seemed sloppy. I thought that was odd because it was the first mix and you could've easiy started over? Anyone else notice this?

Other than that, about 3 tracks in it starts getting deeper. Loved how certain new elements in each transitioned song added more to the overall atmosphere, think you really chose your tracks well.

Looking forward to listening to the full thing later.

i think the first track is about as deep as you can get. ing maurizio...

i think maybe you are talking about the second mix into swayzak? it definitely sounded looser when i listened to it on another system, but 'sloppy' might be a little strong..

as for why i just did it in one shot, i literally recorded this thing 2 hours before i hopped on a bus to detroit for demf

and i tend to take bill o'reilly's position on making promo mixes.

IT! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!

glad everyone is digging the tracks. my collection looks a lot different from when i put up my last mix here 10 months ago.
