While the idiot Arab's that caused this disaster with the plane were reckless, your whole thought on the Chernobyl disaster was not people "ing with things and overriding safeguards" by any means. If you knew anything about the test they had to run, it is a REQUIREMENT, to disable safeguards that were in place. You couldn't run this test without that. The mistake happened when they allowed the reaction to get out of control and then compounded things by pushing the control rods right back in there causing an even more unstoppable meltdown. |

Given the way that article was written, and assuming thats how everyone was reporting it, Im not surprised they thought it was offensive. "Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines..." Like the fact that they were Arab has anything to do with it. |
