in my opinion, there was only one really good eurovision entry. and it was from france. I think this was almost too sophisticated for eurovision.
what were others' fave entries?

The usual eurovision fodder. sounds like something the beach boys chucked in the bin.

Agreed. The French entry was the coolest. I believe the guy is associated with Daft Punk.
A couple of the big winners had an American connection. The song from Russia was produced by Timbaland. And Greece? Kalomira was born and raised in New York City.
I was also surprised the Swiss entry never made it past the semi finals.

Nothing surprises me anymore. The Eurovision is a huge joke, most songs are way below average top40 tracks. Especially after introducing televoting and a huge number of east-european countries who only give 12 point to their neighbours regardless how awful the song was. It should be a Country competition so connections to other countries IMO should not be allowed. How stupid is it that a huge country as Russia needs a Hungarian violin player or a producer from another country? Like there aren't any in Russia. Some east-european countries now give eachother 12 point where a few years ago when they were still one country they even couldn't agree sending just one singer/group to represent them. Years ago also neighbour countries gave eachother many points, but then it also had to do with the native language of a country.
To me Italy has won, for not taking part at this charade for some years.
Anyone who thinks otherwise should read the wiki information especially "Political and national voting": Eurovision Song Contest

this is the best song in eurovision history ;)

I can't say that I thought much of any of this year's songs - not after last year's Juno Reactor soundalike from whichever country that was from.
