Last generation of gaming consoles???

I don't agree. People will always want something which they can pick up and play, though the pre-installation on consoles now seems to ruin that point a bit.
Regardless, consoles will be around. Not everyone wants to sit at a computer and let's face it, 4 player in front of the tv in the living room, playing some crazy ass multiplayer game is always more fun than 4 PCs in the basement. |

Its all about online gaming now though and PCs have always been infront in that regard |

In that sense yes, but what about when 3 mates come over for a few beers and some crazy console action? Using more than one console and not having everyone in the same room defeats that purpose.
Online play has it's role and PC is definitely leading the charge, but the console party atmosphere can't be emulated by using a PC. |

No no, you're not getting my point. I'm not talking about LAN parties. Just social gatherings at someone house. It's a lot easier to set up a console than a number of PCs to play.
Do you get what I mean? It's just the ease of the things. I prefer PCs and love a good LAN but discounting consoles is very stupid. They aren't going to just disappear. |

| This guy did not convince me at all. The Wii is selling like mad, and the 360 and PS3 aren't doing too shabby either, so there's no reason for a prediction like this. |

The thing I hated about the new consoles is the installation of the game.
I have a ps3 and when I first played gta 4 it installs itself into the hard drive which takes up 3 gigs of space. |
