..i have no idea is this thing any good. :D
I got it as a sort of gift, and since I had to decide fast, I picked it practicaly by intuition (long story, but suffice to say, it was get smthing now or forget about it) :toothless
So.. is this thing any good? I'm hopeing to replace my axiom 25, which frankly was a dissapointment for me. Also hopeing to finally use those controllers for once. It's usually just too much hassle connecting them to individual vst's. I heard about it's automap thing, but I'm unsure how it works. And more importantly, does it work? Do you actually use the controllers now?

Also I had a choice between the remote sl and remote sl compact. The guy at the store said smthing about the compact version being newer and had better mapping, is this true? I skipped the compact version as it had a lot less control, but I'm not sure if I did the right thing there.
Any help/info is aprecciated.

I have the 61 SL (I should have purchased the 37 and saved myself $100.00 but whatever...) and I really like it. Automap 2.0 just came out (a month or two ago) and it works great: it's quite easy to operate and makes adjusting parameters a breeze. I still have a lot to learn about its functions but I've got a handle on the basics and the controller does exactly what it's supposed to do. I suspect you'll be happy with it.

For what it's worth, I use Live 7 and a bunch of VSTs.

Novation Nocturn IMO

Have a remote 37 sl, it's decent fo sho.
Just find myself painting stuff in and not really using it.

I think the compact has same control, just no keys...

Zero has no keys, compact is a smaller version of the remote SL.

Anyway, thank you both for the info. I googled it a bit yesterday and it seems to be a great controller. Just one thing that bothers me: it uses a wrapper for the VST's, right? So what happens when I load that (cubase) project somewhere else? Do the VST's still load without the wrapper?

I have it for a year, Love it. You'll understand once you have it, especially if you like twisting knobs.

I punch my basslines with it 24/7
