Any cheap places to stay nearby?
Is Montreal a tough city to drive in, considering I've never been there?

do you guys recommend any sets or even tracks that could give a feel as to the vibe it's gonna be????

Ferry always plays similiar tracklists as for his live gigs concerned. He will play his tracks of the moment for a period of 6 weeks or so, and changes gradually. Also, he always put in 2 or 3 trance classics, old System F tracks etc...

Here's a recent playlist :

As someone who travels a lot, I'm really sorry that nobody from Montreal replied. Not being from there (and not having driven around that city), I didn't have any information that would be terribly helpful. From what I know of the city though, if you've driven around other medium to large-size cities and are comfortable, I think you would have been okay.

Canadians are generally a pretty nice, helpful bunch! Sorry for the disappointment this time. :)

lol in mtl its ok to drive, besides one major problem, the roads at total !, some streets look like a minefield (where the mines exploded ofcourse), but hey, nobody died from that, ppl live with those roads just fine, so you shouldnt have much trouble. And anyways who cares about the roads, its FERRYYY!!!!

lool i think he meant getting from A to B

and no it isn't difficult whatsoever

lots of "main" streets it's pretty easy to get around

a gem investment i've made for my road travels was in a GPS.

if you dont judge necessary im more then certain the 'canadians' in the city will be willing to guide you

btw thanks guys for tracklists and sets guys!

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure most Canadians are helpful, I've got some relatives in Ontario.

I guess it's a good thing that I never got a reply, since the place burned up?. If I'm ever up that way again, I'll be sure to ask again.

If Ferry actually shows soon, you all should deffinately go. I saw Ferry in LA do a bangin 6 hour set! Then I saw him in SanFran for a show and an afterhours gig over Memorial Day, the tracks of both shows were not so much vocal trance or house, but a step up.

As for GPS, I don't do much driving usually. 99% of the time, I will fly into town, cab it to the hotel, venue, afterhours, hotel, then back to airport. I've just never been to Montreal.

Ferry is awesome!! I'm a huge fan....and go to several of his shows a year. In fact, I was probably at that 6-hour set in LA (end of June 2007?) and nearly went to that Ruby Skye set (where he tag-teamed with Tiesto as Gouryella)....damn! Caught him in Cleveland that weekend instead.

If you ever have the chance, come see him in Toronto at the Guvernment/Kool Haus...Ferry's famous for playing long sets there.

Anyway, hopefully Ferry still plays in Montreal on the 18th! Can't wait!

Cheers :)

Yes! It was end of May 2007 tho. Good times indeed! Found out after the fact, that he played a small set at Virgin records in the late afternoon, before the show.

As for coming to Toronto, I've been meaning to get up that way for the longest time now, always happens prior to going and I have to cancel. Possibly after the summer months, I might get up that way.

I spoke to the guys @ Stereo tonight and they said that Stereo will need between 4-6 weeks to re-open. The Ferry Corsten event will for sure not take place @ Stereo. They r looking into moving it into somewhere else.
