cool, i'll let you know when i know for sure if i'm headed down there.
re: guest DJs,
go out to other nights, meet people, etc. try to talk to people who come to your night..., buy drinks, try not to talk to their girlfriends too much ;)
if you are receiving compensation from the house, give at least half to the guest DJ. if the guest has spun out at least a few times before, always give them the closing spot, probably 11:30-close at the casbah....or tag if they want. if it's a noob DJ, let them open....give them around an hour and a half. if you have a group of people you think you can trust, have an afterbar. pretty soon, there will always be somebody who wants to spin at your night.
i know a few people who might be interested...i'll try to contact them and send them your way. |
