So was I wrong to say what I did? Or correct?

I just don't consider Sash! or Alice DJ, or Eiffel 65 to be Eurodance!

You're right, Tony is all kinds of right, but some aren't as edumacated as you.

yes it is, but eurodance conneisuers(sp?) like me, nrg2nfinit & dubam will only consider the stuff from 90-97 the proper stuff, the stuff made after that is "second wave" eurodance, some of the stuff may sound like the proper stuff but is only a clone of the rly good stuff.

Cool, I thought I might be going nuts for a sec.

And ya, Mr. Montana is not somebody I would be arguing Eurodance with :wtf:

Edit: Ok Montana, thanks for the heads up. And for kinda ruining my idea of Eurodance :p It feels weird to consider Sash! as a Eurodance group though, as I always (maybe incorrectly) identified Euro with having somewhat dominant lyrics? And Alice DJ/Eiffel 65 were more like pop-trance, and way too late to be even vaguely considered in the Eurodance thing...

I know that Sash! was the same era, but I really don't think those 2 tracks could be described as Eurodance? Or am I wrong?

its all the same :p

Meh, if it's 130~140 BPM, has lots of saw waves, and an attractive woman singing about pointless stuff, it's eurodance enough to me. And, in that sense, eurodance never died :p

See edit.

it is all eurodance, it's cheesy dance music that doesn't take itself seriously, with very prominent melodies. you wouldn't consider the ian van dahl or lasgo stuff as eurodance where it is just continuation of what happend in like 1994 when this new electronic dance sound was taken and made really poppy. it is notable that alot of the stuff made through 92-97 had alot of acidlines and basslines that still seems to be used in more modern credible productions

edit, but really, let's not argue over a silly thing like this. it is really fighting what eurodance was not meant to do. making people happy and making them dance
