A new form of garbage tax. All in the name of the environment of course (yeah right)

When i was a kid i lived in stouffville and the garbage dump on the moraine was polluting the municpal ground water. We were forced to buy water (at that time sold in glass bottles). No one back then ever thought of asking for government compensation either. I guess it was an era just before the "everyone owes me something just because im me" phase in our society.

I remember the water being brown and dirty. :eyes:

Now I know why you're so uppity at times. lol.

Stoufville eh?

I lived in that hole, backwater, incest pit for 2 years & nearly chewed my leg off to get out. It took me a while to purge those days from my head. Good luck though man. Once you finally get rid of all that you'll realize that the ones making these decisions aren't the townies that will actually listen to an argument from time to time.

Either way, don't stop the rants. I love 'em, and the reaction they solicit even more.

Cheers!

Nope...It's for you ACTUAL garbage...

So anything that's not Recycling. It is a form of tax for the government, as Jay mentioned already lol, and I think there's an annual fee now? or maybe just talks of one...

I notice the water like that in Aurora, each time the city adds a chemical to flush the rust off of pipes.

I agree with Jay 100%...

The gov sees us paying for so many other rip offs that they figure we'll just take it when they come up with new ones...

The sad thing is...we do...take it all...with no lube...

Your an idiot dude... the paper bags they use are RECYCLED. even if it gets used once which it always does.. its good cuz that recycled paper bag takes around a year if not less to break down at a garbage dump. or for those who recycle it . it can be made into something else!!.. whereas that plastic bag your so in love with takes over 1000 years to break itself down.. im all for using the paper bags for something like liquor\

No matter what they do. theres always people that bitch and bitch about bla bla im paying my taxes for this . rah rah rah .. it is what it is get used to it .

- Plastic water bottles. Many school boards are already banning them (after banning pop) and now the province might do the same. I guess they want us to drink from the lead coated pipes in schools and parks. If i were in the business id have a few solutions.

1) define what is water. Water is H20. As soon as you add calcium, iron, etc its no longer water is it? Otherwise wed have to call juice, pop and anything else liquid as water right? Id just change the label from water to "Calcium drink"

2) Canned Water - worse for the environment as you have to mine materials and smelter the can but hey, at least its not plastic water bottles!!
!

Oh man.. dude. seriously.??

Plastic bags being banned in stores is friggin genius.. saves money and landfill space.. soon its gonna be . ok . u buy ur groceries . roll the cart to ur truck . and put the inside . big deal. or you bring your own bags. that you can actually reuse.

Plastic water bottles too.. whats the point . everyone should stop being lazy and have on or 2 reusable bottles and keep filling them up.. jsut like some ppl do with coffee thermos's and mugs..

Water in Canada is safe to drink.. they add certain to it like fluoride but its all essential minerals that you body needs jeeze its not poison. and about the lead thing.. most places like schools and public buildings get tested quite frequently for lead in the water. and trust me its not something they take lightly

And yea canned water would be awesome!. why not... that CAN if recycled can be directly turned into a new can. and if thrown away takes half the amount of years to break itself down as opposed to a plastic water bottle ... but im sure noone on this site cares about this ..
