kr00ton.. I love your mixes, but man do I hate how mixdepot works with my computer or Firefox or whatever... lol I can never download it, unless i copy the link..

Finally had a chance to listen. Overall the set is good. Some things that I didn't like however:
- few tracks in the mix kinda dropped the level or interrupted the current feel of the set way too much like for example Lemon Phase. It is a great track but not really suitable for this mix imo. It felt (no matter that it was in the beginning) that you wanted soooo much to put it in the mix that you dropped the energy from the previous track and then mixed with Eifelgold which is 4x times more energetic. I would exclude the track if I was you.
- the other thing is that towards the end the mix really doesn't pick on anywhere. Imo dropping some more night/dark psy would do wonders but that kinda contradicts with the name of the mix lol ! :D

Yeah, I like to sometimes mix it up flow-wise, not hectically, but sometimes peaks and troughs are nice, down to personal preference I guess.
As for the end of the mix, you are correct actually, I did a mix called Black Magic in April which had to darker and more full-on stuff, I wanted this one to be a fluffier contrast to that. |
