Neat little reason 4 trick

Ok, little trick for the fantastic reason 4.
Reason 4 does not have a gate.. but the rv7000 does..
Just a little tweaking and you can use the gate in the rv just like a normal gate. This is how it works:
1: init
2: set to tempo sync on, 1/16, 0 diffusion (experiment with it though it's a cool effect), 127 spread, 0 predly
3: enable the gate and experiment with the settings
3: 100% wet, 0 decay
4: in the sequencer, move your part forward by 1/16th note
All done

What you are talking about is the midi gating.
It's not the midi gating that is emulated here but a "real" gate: if the volume of a sound goes below a threshold value, the sound is cut. |
