I'm bumping this thread and its not very relevant other than this "event" happened a day after and it was at footwork.
I decided to check out Michaelangelo at FW with some friends on Saturday. I am not a regular at fw, but i liked it from the couple of times i had visited. That all changed this past weekend.
Maybe some people who frequent can clarify some things for me.
Me and my group of friends start off the night on the stage area by the dj with the booths. I notice that most of the crowd all knows each other which is not a bad thing. Some people were being friendly and a bit sketchy but nonetheless nothing out of the ordinary from any other edm spot.
There were a couple of people who seemed to be regualars really trying to attention whore it wayyyy too much, being pretty obnoxious and really trying to win over attention, friendship and i dont know what.
We shift to the dancefloor where we figure we can find some solitary and just have a good time....wrong
there is this sketchy ing kid i see everytime, always bouncing around, ed out of his mind, yelling out , so we all just ignore him. He becomes particularly interested in our group, and then me as he is making retarded conversation and i just ignore him.
to sum this part up, he seemed to get annoyed by that and then stares right in my eyes walks up with a grin and tries to grab my gf's crotch he misses by i'd say maybe a quarter inch smiles, mumbles and keeps walking.
after i confirm this i confront him, all of a sudden he can't talk, he's stuttering like an idiot and seems shocked he's being confronted. for the first time in my 4 yrs of countless nights and hours in our scene, i was literally going to put this guy in a hospital.
I don't care about bumps, shoves or anything petty like that I don't sweat it but this was crossing the line HUGE.
so this clown takes off to the back booth area when you first enter past the washrooms, grabs like 8-10 guys and heads out, theres a buzz now in that section and more ppl are involved, i stick around and start talking to ppl in that area to try to neutralize the tension and let them know what happened.
Excuses for this pathetic was "oh he's on G man, its all good" etc.. complete bull...my gf is pissed so she wants to talk to a bouncer...try to find one in the club...impossible we found 4 outside and one at the door, to which my gf calmly complained...there was nothing done, apparently he'd "warn him".
things started getting sketchier more people got involved, my friends and i were ing sky high pissed, my gf was visibly upset, no bouncers really giving a and a realization made that a bunch of grimey regulars who seem more like addicts/dealers(another story) are protected.
CoR version:
Dirtball touches my gf inappropriately
had to search for bouncers
bouncer found didn't give a
SHAME ON FOOTWORK IF THIS IS A REGULAR WAY OF DEALING WITH PROBLEMS. |

| matt, its a shame that happened. a girl pretty much gets sexually assaulted and the security do nothing about it? pathetic. i hope the management hears about this and does something about it. |

Thats what the law would define it as.
You know me and my gf personally, we're easy going, sketch doesn't bother us but there is absolutely no tolerance for this.
I've had petty issues with security before, but i can say that they would have gladly escorted this guy out with the option to hold him so the girl could press charges if she wanted to (which actually i seen happen during an event at the koolhaus) or they would have gladly given this guy a royal ass kicking.
a simple form of sympathy and perhaps even asking for a description of the guy or to point him out to show some interest in the situation would have been nice.
It was my gf who really did the talking to the bouncer, i wanted to stay composed and not jeopardize my friends or my own reputation or ability to return as patrons, obviously her being upset and me looking upset wasn't enough. |
