I've only been to the Hudson Theatre once, but just like xDJxSAPHYREx says, the venue is used for like weekly roll parties and smaller raves.
I have to say that I absolutely love the venue. The layout and stages are so ing cool. I went to see Gareth Emery during the Neo Sapiens 10th anniversary in January, so unfortunately, the venue was a bit more empty than I would like. |

socal is better than nocal for psytrance thats for sure. no debate there. norcal is getting better though recently thanks to 1015.
J00f and IM - hell yea. Like i asked before, will there be more psy headliners or just other headliners or locals only to fill in the rest of the bill? Go for the gold - get astrix or astral in there haha. Nah, cost way too much. But maybe with all the psy coming to socal a massive can be arranged for us psyheads having astrix astral j00f cl etc. Im sure if that were to occur it would sell out easily with the recent psytrance push in the scene. |

i played at the hudson a couple of months ago with Filo and Peri. It was a cool show. I thought the venue was cool, and im sure a party there by insomniac would make it really good. However they dont serve booze there which changes the party up quite a bit.
I would pretty much stand in any venue to hear John play, regardless of who else is standing in the room. So i would def go out for this, if i werent going to be in Europe at that time. |

Ouch.
That makes all the difference in the world to me, i need to have a good buzz to listen to trance.
I wonder if Insomniac will do something about the booze situation, thats going to keep the older crowd away and keep a good chunk of revenue away from them. |

i pretty sure the way it goes is they dont have a license to sell booze, but can give it away for free. This is how some raves there have been able to do a VIP ticket that included open bar, so they are just giving the booze away in an isolated area
however i understand pascual (insomniac) bought into the hudson, so perhaps he will pursue proper permits to get booze |

:tongue3 IM and J00F can hardly own up to these, will need a lot more help from the rest of the psy lineup to make this real :haha: one thing i just dont get, is it that expensive to bring over some fresh psy big names like Etnica, protoculture, talamasca, etc? No need to be astral or astrix, you know... |

man... im tired of hoping that it will happen in the USA... it's been too long, i'm off to the Mother S.O.S. festival in japan... i will complete my psy trance pilgrimage with Protoculture, Atomiculture, wizzy noise, xerox & illumination... just naming wat i can remember... ;) |

| I agree with bringing psy that hasnt been in the areas yet but i havent had the chance to see astrix or astral in the states - saw them in israel really long ago - so hoping they would make it here again. But yea, so many psy artists out there. |
