OEM software?

I see that there are many websites selling OEM versions of DAWs and VST plug-ins.
Just out of curiosity.. Does anyone know if they're legal? If yes, will you still have the option to receive updates/upgrades for them? |

| I've never once seen music software come in OEM versions. Only OS's. |

Reason, Ableton and Cubase come as OEM versions with some soundcards. |

Reason "adapted", Ableton Live "light" and Cubase "SE" :)
none of the full version progs come OEM, and the ones above all suck the penor! |

| They aren't OEM though, they are "light" or "trial" versions. |
