I was just wondering how France, Spain, and the mediterranean European countries are doing on the Trance scene.

I mean, every other release we hear about comes from Holland, UK, Germany, or Belgium (northern Europe).

Well Italy has Mauro Picotto, Mario Piu, and many more great DJ's also Spiller - GrooveJet is from there, i believe, not that he's a trance producer. Spain has their Ricky Martin music. France is mainly into Rap and stuff, Turkey has DJ Quicksilver, DJ sakin, DJ Ufuk, Malatya 44, DJ Yunus. Other than that i dont know what else is going on.

Nu-NRG live at orgasmatron... that's the first time I've ever heard a trance set broadcasted in Italian. And Nu-NRG are the only Italian signed trance artists I know... (besides some BXR stuff).

spain is into techno & prog, when i was there i heard no trance at all, except my walkman & some kids with a walkman playing peran - good time

judge jules said frank trax (who made nebuchan) is from barcelona...
and personally ive heard a fair amount of trance trax with spanish vocals in them:conf:

The trance scene isn't that big in France as far as I know.Apart from Chab/Moogwai I can't come up with any decent names.(but then again,he is one hell of a producer)The house and techno scene is big down there, though.Lots of quality stuff coming from France on that part.

Yes, lots of rap/hip hop here, but fortunately not evreybody listen to this music.

Few yars ago, we had good producers like Emmanuel Top (BBE) or Bruno Sachioni.

In Portugal it's mainly House and Techno.
One of the famoust DJ's is DJ Vibe. There is also producer/DJ Rui da Silva. Togeteher they found in mid 90's the USL (underground sound of lisbon) wich came with a great track: "So Get Up"

But Trance is gaining share on the portuguese dancescene. There are huge trance-parties with up to 25.000 people. Not many know about them but they exist.

verminator
