Matt Cerf - The Aura Lounge - Dallas - 05/25/08

Ok, I know this was last weekend but this is really the first time I could post.
Last Sunday night, my girlfriend and I were at a pool partying at a friends apartment in Uptown Dallas. After the pool party, our group got dressed and headed down McKinney to get a few drinks at Idle Rich.
On the way there, we walked by this new club. From the outside it looked small but trendy. The bouncers were in suits with salmon colored dress shirts.
Here's the conversion that followed with the bouncer at the door.

Bouncer: YES.
Me: You mean Matt C E R F (I spelled it out for him, lol)
Bouncer: YES... Do you want to come in?
Me: Hell, Yeah!

We were still in disbelief so we went up to the DJ booth and there he was. Matt Cerf and Jaren LIVE at The Aura Lounge. I sent a few texts and I know I called Jonas to tell him who was in town.
We went up and introduced ourselves to Jaren and Matt (when he took a brief step away from the decks). We had an awesome time hanging out with Jaren and listening to here sing live. Matt was really nice and also took a picture for me and later sent it to me the following day. They were both very "down to earth" and were a blast to hang out with and dance too.
I think there were only a few people in the club that knew who Matt and Jaren were. I talked to the promoter and he said Matt knows the owner of the club and he came down to Dallas as a favor. I told the promoter, he should of promoted the show better.
This club was really spacious and clean inside and the DJ booth is down close to the crowd. I hope they bring Matt and Jaren back soon.

More of a story than INTEL.
I will be notified when Matt, Jaren or Shawn M. come back to Dallas. So I'll give you guy/girls a heads up.

I mean on the club. Always nice to hear about new venues playing electronc music. |

oh, cool.
Well the club is very spacious and open. You can see the DJ from the back bar. Only issue, is the bathrooms are behind the DJ booth, like Seven or Club 2505. |
