| anyone know where i could download some remix kits that may have been used for remix contests or something of the sort? any kind of music would do... except for rap/hip-hop, country, n hhc =oP |

EDIT: forgot to mention that there is a Paul Van Dyk remix competition going on at beatport.com - you have to buy a lot of the parts, but they are there. |

One little warning:
Most samplepacks (from contest) are copyright protected, so when the competition is over, by law, you can't use them anymore.
However, you can use them for yourself to try and experiment. |

Check out the Sony Acid site http://acidplanet.com - they have several remix competitions going there at once, new ones every few weeks. They have links to the artists's sample packs for each competition.
Site is mainly used to promote Sony Acid and their loop packages, but any software can be used. |

if you're looking for midi, there's a great site...

it has a ton of midi files for trance songs...
if you want loops for remixing, you're probably gonna have to just pull them yourself
