trance has already been mainstream here, and is mainstream in other places now, who cares if it is again? this elitism attitude pisses me off. who cares about ing muzzas, what you might bump into one once every few events and get a glare, the rest of the time they are probably having more fun than you it would seem. your night can't possibly be ruined because you went to a night that had a lot of muzzas, unless you got into a brawl, which would not be every time you went out and there were muzzas there. when i go to earthcore, there are hippies everywhere and they ing smell. but my night/weekend is not ruined by them. why should this be any different? as long as there are djs who play the tunes you like then you will have fun. if you concentrate too much on the other people in the crowd instead of the music then you need to rethink the reasons you are going out.

i take back my muzza comment: i meant a mainstream crowd (in the way of one who doesn't know what's going on, or is just there to get ed up)
i don't whinge about not having nights to go to. :conf:
i go to any event where there's good music. what kind of music is going to get played at a mainstream future event, and labelled trance though?

i appreciate the crowd thing: i don't tend to mind the crowd, but if those stinky hippies had their shirts off, were sweating and rubbing against you, you could probly compare them to muzzas :p

i'm not saying trance is some pure musical field: i'm just saying news of a weekly, future run trance night has it's ups and downs. nothing major.
I'd prefer fewer and better trance nights (as killrockstar & hardware have been offering for the entirety of this year) than a weekly one which will turn trance into electro house.

Huh?

Trance isn't mainstream?

Aren't there some 4000 people going to see Amrin tomorrow night?

I'd call that pretty mainstream, though perhaps you guys mean REALLY mainstream, as in on the radio etc?

Since when was trance ours to dictate....

cmon guys, this will be fun! get some big room happening!

more the merrier imo.

and we are gonna get some wicked acts every week.

PSY FTW!

hippies > muzzas any day of the week.

Completely agree with Benny :)

I have to admit that most muzzas are actually a really good laugh and most are more than happy to take the piss out of themselves if you are near them and mucking around.

There are some bad ones and im no fan of shirts off but there is bad in every group tbh, 'normal' trance fans included.

Big trance thing every week could be brilliant for Melboure imo, i say bring that bitch on!!:D :D :D

muzzas > hippies for me tho benny hehe ;)

looking fwd to seeing how all this unfolds. exciting times seeing "progressive" on a flyer and it not being a bad word. mad things ahead imo ;)

last time i saw mark james spin, he played psy - and it was mad :)

i think this is a good thing.. more chance to see more trance - where's the harm in that?!

plus, if i schmooze with the right people, i may somehow manage to get my name on the bill :D

having future entertainment trance every week might get the muzz massif diggin 'trance' but meh, who cares - they overtake anywhere they go regardless. we're somewhat powerless to stop that. i say give it a bash and see what happens :)

thats what i was thinking too. muzzas have always loved trance. if they go to this new gig, its nothing new or out of the ordinary.
