Whats up guys, im looking into buying a beginners setup and im pretty fixed on getting 2 CDJ200's so far, now i have the option of getting a DJM400 for about $370 used, or getting a DJM500 for $410 used. As of right now i dont need more then 2 channels. Which mixer would u guys recommend as the 500 is abit older and such and ive read on here that the sound is not as great for some reason? What u do guys think?
Thanks in advance =) |

| I like the djm400. Another thing I would think about is resale value. When you're ready to upgrade, it will be much easier to sell that djm400. |

Thanks, what u said makes alot of sense as far as resale goes.
Anyways someone just bought the DJM500 already so i will be going with the 400. |

That's a good choice. I have the 400. The 500 is super outdated at this point and the sound quality is much better on the 400. |

| It's a little bit off-topic, but I've seen at least two major stores use a picture of a DJM-707 when advertising the DJM-700. At least one was in a printed catalog, too. |

| I have a djm-500 and while I do like it if you're going to get cdj-200s and you don't need more than two channels, I'd get the 400. It is newer and you can make sure it works rather than risk it on a used mixer. |
