You should'v\e seen Tiesto in Vegas @ Jet, night 2 (Monday night) last Labor Day Weekend. Group of guys must've poured $10,000 in singles throughout the night. They also were getting 5-10 bottles of Cristal at a time, just to spray on everyone around them. ($1,500 a bottle)

I'd like you to cite your sources. He's never called himself a strict "trance" DJ and I don't know where in the world you heard himself call himself a "house DJ" :stongue: Although he does play different genres, he sticks mainly to trance and has mentioned for YEARS that he embraces other styles of EDM. And he does happen to play proggy stuff towards the beginning of his set. He doesn't have to start by playing 140+ BPM trance at the very beginning. If you don't know that, maybe you should go to DJing school.

As for the CDJs, a DJM800 can handle up to 4 of them... sometimes you can be creative and mix more than 2 tracks at once for an effect. Also, as was the case tonight, one of the CDJs malfunctioned and was not used. He used 3 tonight instead of 4. If he had 3, he'd be living dangerously by just using 2 of them incase a second one actually failed. Its also used for cueing multiple tracks at a time. I just thought you'd like to know that as well ;)

Yeah don't even remind me. LOL

I wanted to see Tiesto, but i had to work at 3PM on monday. I saw Morillo and didnt leave TAO until like 8am and didn't leave Vegas until 10am. So i remmeber my friends dropped me off in my own car at work. I was all cracked out at the Casino (late to work because of traffic on the 15 :whip: ) and i had to endure and 8 hour shift after being awake for the past 48+hrs hung over and full of caffeine. I was tired to the point where i took a nodoz (200mgs of caffeine) and i was still falling asleep. HAHA

I remember it was freaking HOT that weekend! So i didn't even bother with the pool parties.

If someone started repeatedly spraying any kind of liquid on me, I would feel sorry for what happened to them.

Taken directly from Tiesto's site

"Though known primarily for his pioneering contributions to the trance scene, Tiësto's style is now a mix of everything: 'trance, house, techno - it's the best of all that the dance world has to offer. In 1998, I was really a trance DJ, but now I've travelled round the world so much, different influences have seeped in and I play a bit of everything. I think the only way forward for DJs now is to play a diverse mix of sounds.' Indeed, his brand of trance was always pushing at the constraints of the genre anyway, featuring soaring vocals from the likes of Sarah McLachlan and Jes, spine-tingling breakdowns, and euphoric melodies at every end of the spectrum."

He is a DJ, period.. And the worlds biggest, most recognized DJ at that. So, everyone should take lessons.

Amen to that!!

This country is going through fication. Americans are becoming pussies.

Where everyone is becoming a pansy and afraid to do anything, i am not talking about fighting i am talking about helping people out. I read a story where some old guy was hit by a car and NO ONE STOPPED TO HELP HIM, everyone kept on driving by

Not me though.

I saw that accident on TV yesterday! Poor man gets hit and ends up laying on the street motionless... no one stopped, not even the people that were walking by!

Bunch of chavalas is what this country has!

Actually no.

They took him off the radio down here in San Diego.

He had no ratings LOL.

I haven't heard his show in YEARS.

Not a big concern for me...most of those have skulls, skeletons and on them. Sorry, but I'm just not into wearing human remains. That said, I did find one a few weeks ago that has two lions on the front, like the Bavarian coat of arms. Pretty cool, and no human body parts that I could find (although there's a lot going on in that shirt!) Think I'll wear it to Blank & Jones, seems fitting, a tribute to Deutschland.

As for last night, I decided to wear my Trance Energy shirt. Tijs saw me, nodded and smiled from ear to ear. He really does follow those who are into his music like they follow him! :D
