"Pedophile House"

So...this is a term that I once thought was house's equivalent to trance's "cheese." Later I found out that it was just the GU forums automatically changing the word "electro" into "pedophile" to avoid the common electro/"electro house" misconception. But I think the name suits properly for some artists because I can't quite see them fitting into the genres they are labeled/known as.
For instance:
Desyn Masiello
Rowan Blades
As far as I know, they're considered Progressive House/House DJs. But I've always considered "true" Progressive House to be along the lines of the infamous S&D sound back in 01-02. Stuff that chugs along. House on the other hand, has a more funky, diva, "latino" groove to it. Acts like Tony Humphries, Quentin Harris, Louie Vega.
So what the is that more "epic" sounding house called? Stuff like:
Kosmas Epsilon - Soho
Ossie - Holyland
Samuel L Session - Velvet (See-Know Remix)
The Doppler Effect vs Planet Funk - Inside All The People (Ricky Ryan Mashup)
It's like border line epic trance, but with groove...

| i tell ya, when i think "the sound of desyn masiello live" the first thing i think of, genre-wise, is "pedophile house." without question. |

Then, whoever asked would probably say "Dude, that's not funky house - ______ is funky house! You're ing crazy, man."

If someone asked me what Desyn played, I'd say house. But I'm sure there are house purists out there who would beg to differ.

I'm not trying to start a trend or anything, I just thought it was a saying that was already going around to label the more "cheesier" stuff.
Ya' know how most people say epic trance is for the younger crowds...well youngsters = kids = pedophiles. er...yea. |

Which is pretty much the exact opposite of what the original prog house was in the early '90s -- big, emotional, and definitely not the sleepy "tribal" numbers that eventually became the staple of "prog house" DJs.
