This is just the raw fish. No rice. No vegetables. Just fish. For all the purists out there as well as global conservationists concerned about the recent decline in rice production.

I've only tried sushi a couple of times and its usually been the maki.
I can't say I actually loved the taste from the times I've had it, but I wouldn't base my opinion until I've tried other varieties. Like thai food, I acquired a taste for it and I love it now.

ahhh this is looking more and more appealing.. and just want to add, for the people scared of new foods... miso goes down as easy as any canned soup or instant noodles you've ever had. and if you're not into raw fist but like crab meat, you'll probably be able to get crab sashimi.. no rice or shell to break, just a slab of sliced goodness :D

P.S. You all have to drink one cup of sake per roll.
If you're eating sashimi then it's one cup per bite or per slice, whichever is smaller. |
