It's pretty sad to see how much hatred these matches bring to surface. Poland hates Germany, Germany hates Poland and Italy, and so on. Apart from sporting rivalry, people just love to take it to a more personal, almost nationalistic level.
Football is such a great sport, but I wish less idiots were into it. |

True.
The passion, rivalry and -talking in football is cool... but when it involves bringing back the memories from the World Wars, that's just wtf-lame. |

I don't think so. Take for example lithuania, it's just in our blood to be very passionate when we play russia. The only place where people could be shouting 'lithuania' when we were occupied was in basketball matches were our team would be playin CSKA Moscow.
Now when we play CSKA everythings of course cooled down, but the atsmosphere is still different as compared to that when we play some other club.
And I don't think it's all that bad that there are rivalries like this. Same happens if one rivalry city play another, of course there would be some hatred, but it's not like they're going for civil war. That hatred comes and goes, it just brings more fun.
Anyhow, I hope poland will bring their A game for germans [ |

| bringing back bad memories that none of us had any control over is seriously gay. its like a 5 year old who cant think of any better insults so he goes somewhere he really shouldnt. |

The reason this has come to the surface is mainly because of the newspapers. They need to sell and that Beenhakker photo for instance did an excellent job.
I'm convinced the vast majority of football fans nowadays isnt placing this game in a historic perspective.
I for was was just fooling around when i mentioned WWIII.
Correct me if i'm wrong though. But i cant imagine the poles see this game as a possible revenge for Germany invading their country... |

| All I'm saying is that it just spicies up the game a lil bit, don't say you don't judge one or another player for things he has done in the past. |

| Honestly, I'll take the hate in the football pitch than on an actual battlefield. |
