so a delayed review:
as mentioned earlier it was at full capacity when we got there, waited a little bit, then finally got in.
The music was good but it was packed inside, however it wasn't too difficult to find some small pockets where you could dance, considering we were right up front.
i didn't know what to expect of guido schneider, at all. but i thought he played very well, it was a very good set, lots of energy and it kept you moving, great stuff.
i'm glad i went to this d2db because it really meant something to me. i wanted to do something to support the fight against cancer. sadly, a friend of my family, and a true gentleman lost his fight against cancer the night of d2db3.
p.s:
dave, keep thrwing these parties and i'll keep coming
and lots of love to everyone i saw that night ! |

Wow. Wow. Wow.
You want to talk about a good vibe?
We (15+ people) showed up early, around 9:30, and got in without waiting. There were maybe 30 people there when we walked in, I turned to get a drink and all of a sudden the place was packed.
The tunes were great. I could elaborate, but I don't think I need to. Well done everyone. I missed Jon's set, but if it was anything like the set the roaches turned out it was wall-to-wall goodness.
It got bloody HOT in there later on and I too noticed the indoor rain. The heat and humidity inside was a good thing, it FELT like a party.
I could have done without the DVDs of the cancer survivors and victims. I know that it's all tied to the cause (my mom had breat cancer, for the record) but I stopped to watch it for a bit and it kind of killed my buzz a little, too heavy imo.
Barbina...I missed you again. You could totally have checked my boobies.
Ended up leaving around 5ish and things were still cooking. I was amazed to find that 7 hours had vanished so quickly.
All in all, excellent party, one of the best nights at FW ever!
Thanks, love and support to all those responsible for making this event the stellar night that is was.
***Anyone know how much was raised for the cause?*** |
