5.NHL 97 > The game blew my mind, with its intense 3d graphics, and wendel clark had a mustache.
4.Goldeneye > even though i never owned a 64, playing this was by far the best thing to do at a friends house, even if they didn't want to.
3.Starcraft > i still play it.
2.Counterstrike > The amount of times i stayed at home on a friday night drinking beer and playing this is just staggering, and i still play it.
1. Half-life 1 > i waited and waited for that damn game for months and months. Eventually i got to try it at 'take your kid to work day' cause my dad worked at ATI, and it was fantastic. by far the most satisfying game i ever waited for/played. |

Stick with it. You start off with very limited abilities and weapons, and you build them up slowly over the course of the game. In a few hours once you get a new sword and train with this old dude, you will be kicking ass and taking names with mad slashing and spinning skillz. And if you get tired of the sailing, you'll find a way around that too. Remember the teleporting flute from Super Mario 3? ;) |
Awesome, I'll get back to it this weekend. |

Only 5?
in no real order
WoW:I played this more than any other game and thought it was made by god.
Perfect Dark 64: To this day 1 of the best fps's I've ever seen, one of the 64's finest momments.
Simcity 4: Very addictive and a still a great looking game, only downside is that without mods it fails.
Duke Nukem 64: multiplayer fun
C&C tiberium sun: Great game, I found it so fun to send riflemen onto the weed and create dozens of mutant things
Warcraft 2,3/starcraft: the editor by them selves was win.
Age of Empires 2: Again I loved the editor and always made maps after watching LOTR.
Honourable mention:
Shadowman 64: The most ed up game I've ever seen |

1. Doom3. Although lacking in replay value, it holds the greatest gaming experience to me. The original release without patch only allowed for short bursts of the flashlight, which I thought added immensely to the atmosphere. Run, shoot, investigate, scream, crawl, cry, kill. :)
2. Team Fortress Classic
3. Rocket Arena 2
4. Delta Force 2
5. CounterStrike HL1 |

wow.... only 5. This is really tough.
in no order off the top of my head;
*Xenogears
*Counter Strike Source (Even tho the original is what i first played and loved, source just improved upon everything...graphics, addition of physics, lighting....great job Valve, one of the elite developers in the business)
*Metal Gear Solid (Great story, great gameplay...even though the remake had upgraded graphics the original just nailed the overall tone and feel of the game....everything was already perfect; the voice acting, the script, the cutscene direction, the codec messages, the score...no need to change anything there)
*FFXIII (The first FF Ive ever played...just opened me up to all the FF's and tonnes of other square titles after that)
*Zelda Ocarina of Time
honorable mention to; Super Street Fighter II, Team Fortess 2, Resident Evil 2, Chrono Cross, Super Mario 64, Grand Theft Auto 3, Goldeneye, Turok 2, Gran Turismo 1-3 |
