Roger Federer's brilliance cannot be denied

But can he ever truly be called the greatest tennis player if he's so completely dominated by Rafael Nadal on clay? I mean, the French Open Final was just painful to watch.

Federer, much like Sampras, has never won at Roland Garros. And as long as Rafa is around, he never will.

Yep, I thought the same. :\ I was supporting Federer, but he didn't have the slightest chance.

Then again, if there wasnt Nadal Roger would have won Roland Garros several times easily.

So can we withhold him being the greatest ever simply because of one man on one surface?

Was the match today? Man so many sports going on this month its hard to keep up. Saw the beginning rounds and missed the final :(

Nadal was just playing great tennis and Federer wasn't (he was having a bad day I guess). That was what made this match seem like a mismatch.

Rafa is without a doubt the best clay tennis player ever. If it wasn't for Rafa, Federer would have won the FO 4 times by now. Bjorg or Lendl wouldn't stand a chance against rafa too :D

Federer will be one of the greatest if not the greatest player even if he doesn't win FO atleast once, as in his era he has to face the best clay tennis player of all-time.

Let see how wimbledon goes. Last year Rafa put up a good fight against Federer unexpectedly on grass  I think Federer has a real Nadal complex, when ever he sees him he gets scared :nervous:

not to mention Djokovic beating him (and Nadal) on other surfaces...

Indeed, I can see Roger's emprire falling apart within the next year or two years. Nadal allready took him to five sets last year at Wimbledon...
