without that offside goal the match would be completely different imho |
Have to disagree, they didn't make any kind of offensive formation changes after that goal did they? |

fantastic match. italy were outplayed regardless of the offside goal.. deserved result imo

The 2-0 and 3-0 were pure counter attack goals. Obviously Italy started caring less about their defending lines once they were losing, so yes, the offside goal made the game very different.
Netherlands deserved the win, they played well. The result is way too one-sided for what happened, but Italy has their strikers to blame as they missed too many chances in the 2nd half.
The most important thing: this was a great game. |

Offside goal was a terrible decision but that apart I've got no complaints, holland deserved the win (although 3-0 was flattering).
If ambrosini plays the next game against romania I will flip, he is in useless. If we had the running power of perotta in the midfield then we would have seen a very different game imo. Toni was just so isolated until del piero came on.
After watching the french the group is still wide open imo, italy weren't bad they just didn't take their chances unlike the dutch.
(I also think the question over whether cannavaro would be missed or not was answered pretty emphatically tonight - no organisation at the back at all). |

that first goal definitely wasnt offside
You will read plenty about it tomorrow in the papers explaining that
Even without that goal it was an amazing game

| I think depending on the feed you watched you might not have seen what happened. Vern watched it on TSN and missed it, the commentators must have missed it as well because ESPN was all over it during the post game. |
