Holland 3-0 Italy (pg. 2)

this should be a great tournament cos neither the italians or the french should do well. Italy are over the hill & have no fresh blood, france are only just bringing it in, but need rid of makelele, abidal etc before they'll get anything good from it.

This year I fancy Spain, Portugal, Croatia & Holland as the top 4 teams, with the germans just behind, but with Lehmann in goals, there'll be a up or three.

So ing true! I don't get why Löw puts that idiot in. Even Arsenal has sorted him out, and it's not like we don't have any better men.

any reason Timo Hildebrand didn't get selected? He looked good for Valencia in a struggling side last season

Incompetence. ;)

Adler and Enke are also pretty reliable keepers. Just about everyone except Lehmann is!
While watching the game I kept suggesting that they give Schweinsteiger some gloves and substitute him for Lehmann! :toothless

On topic:
Oranje ftw!
I'll so be rooting for them when Germany isn't playing.

After Croatia's terrible game against Austria, I think you can take them off the list. Unless they suddenly improve a lot.

And Germany seemed as good as Portugal and Holland, IMO. Maybe a little shaky in defence but excellent upfront.

I just don't think they're quite so good on paper at the back, esp as I said with Jens. I'm unsure of other keepers, I Know timo is pretty good (and not totally incompetent) and i've heard of some guy called Neuer? I dunno if he's any good, just someone mentioned him to me once, think he's with Schalke or something.

I think croatia will be fine, having said that, add in Eduardo's finishing to Krancjar, Modric & company and you'd have one hell of a team. Also playing the hosts isn't always easy, and the croats gave us more trouble in the 2 games than france did recently.

how come?!?!
betting on italy or france for the first game of a tournament is suicide, both notoriously bad starters.

Great game, but I can't see Holland keeping it up for the whole tournament
Croatia to win it

I was talking about the coach, who didn't nominate him. :)
