Let me know how you like your Taurus once you have shot it a bunch. I have been debating a Millenium Pro PT 145 but don't have any experience with the quality of Taurus pistols. |
I already fired about 500 rounds thru it and tomorrow I'm running about a thousand. So far i LOVE it. Taurus makes good handguns, but do NOT buy their revolvers those are very low quality. The 1911 series and most other autoloaders are good quality. |

Why the would you take a gun out on the town? Seriously?
Maybe it's my pesky 'Canadian sensibility', but did it ever occour to you that your lax gun laws might be, at least in part, responsible for you well above the national average murder rate?
7.5 / 100 000 people for 2005 and 2006
USA average is 5.7 / 100 000 for 2006
In 2006, Canada's national average was 1.85 / 100 000 people.
In Canada, give up your wallet and live another day, don't start a running gun battle down the street. I would have though after time in the sandbox (that you pissed and ing moaned about here) you would want to leave the guns at home for a change.
Charlton Heston is dead. Move on. |

YAY!!!!! I bought 2 more guns! God bless America, and Arizona's kick ass gun laws.
First, a Taurus PT 1911 in .45 ACP. I already have 2 kimbers, but this Taurus is a well built 1911 at half the price of even the cheaper of the two. This is a gun I can take horseback riding, camping, hunting etc and not have to worry about ing up an 1800 dollar pistol (ie the kimbers).

Second, a Sig P225, in 9x19 Parabellum. A slim single stack pistol acts great as my new duty pistol and a easily concealable handgun for a night around the town.
| Why do you need a gun to go horseback riding and capming? |

Why carry a gun on the town? Why not? It is my right as an American, and I serve to protect that among all other rights. Additionally, its better to have one and not need it than to need it and not have one. People need to be realistic - the world is not a friendly place.
And as for camping or horseback riding? Oh I dunno... maybe coyotes, mountain lions, javelinas, rattlesnakes, all kinds of nasty animals. |

| I think at the most, civilians should be able to own a rifle, or shotgun for protection in your HOME. Handguns + civilians = bad idea. Shotguns are more fun anyway, u get a really loud boom, and the closer u are to the target, the more it explodes. Can't go wrong if u must be a pyro. Anything else is just for killing. |

I'm gonna start walking around with a scissor, a razorblade, a lighter (i don't smoke), a can opener, a shoe polisher, a teeth brusher, a flashlight and a dildo.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! |

Do you carry a first aid kit in your car? A spare tire? A condom in your wallet? Spare cash in the glove box? A fire extinguisher in the kitchen?
Never hurts to be prepared. If I'm out with my family and someone tried to hurt me or a member of my family, I'm much rather have that Sig under my shirt than not have it. |
