i sing for myself only...it is a form of relaxation and been singing ever since i was very very young. i don't know never really felt the passion to share...it always gets me when people i've known for a long time figure out i have a nice voice. bewilders them but oh well i don't plan to use it for anything but to keep my own sanity.

My mom had me listen to classical music more than anything when I was a kid. Mostly Rimsky Kosokov.

There have been so many threads like this already on TA and every time someone posts Canon in D.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of choral music, but for classical music, far, far too many to list here. Artists or composers?

Artists: Vengerov, Hahn, Shaham etc

Composers: Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Ysaye, Paganini, Ernst, Bazzini, Dvorak, Sibelius etc etc.

Is anyone here classically trained? Violin, Piano, Organ, etc to a high-standard? Would be interested to know...

Somebody posted a video a while back of an old guy playing the piano...It was an awesome piece and he was playing RIDICULOUSLY fast. His fingers were complete blurs...It looked like he was possessed by the devil.

Afterwards on the vid, someone made a comment like "Perfection...You don't see it often..."

Anyone know what I'm talking about? I would love to find it..

Adagio For Strings is the most I can bear with this
