Yeah, thats what I did. Mother having to walk a dog when it is 25 degrees out and snowing. |

Well it’s just that I have a problem with people who blindly going into dog owning. Like not really doing their homework or realizing the responsibility that comes with owning a dog…especially if u get it at as a puppy. It takes time and patience to train them (and you should absolutely train them). That’s why I wish people wouldn’t automatically dismiss the idea of getting a cat first (half the responsibility).
My friend just recently took in a 5 month old black lab. When he told me about it, I wasn’t happy at all. Why? Because he is a ing lazy slob who parties like a rock star every other weekend and I knew right away that dog would be in a cage for the most part or be left alone a lot in his messy hole apartment. I literally said to him, “Dude, you should really try to find a better home for him”. Labs are like THE most high maintenance dogs when it comes to training them. Both my uncle and sister own black labs and they never take them out or run them or train them. They are huge and jump all over everyone when they walk in the front door. It pisses me off. If you are a lazy person or have an active lifestyle, it’s better to get a cat, or do your homework with dog breeds and find one that most fits your schedule and personality.
But then again, I’m sort of against dog breeding these days too due to the overpopulation of pets already |
I agree with u, but not just dogs. Cats are also in need of population control, and anyone looking for a new pet should never buy from a pet store and hit the local shelters. Sooooooo many excellent cats/dogs there and best part u pay little to nothing to get them. Labs are horrible under the best housing environments. |

My mom and I happened to stop at the post office last year after work (carpooling) and some lady had a box with this scruffy little kittens that were hissing at everyone. I was doomed. Of course we took them home and I was really patient with them and earned their trust after about a week (except for the one I kept, she took a little longer to trust me) and I found homes for 2 of them and got stuck with mine. The funny part is that I was determined not to keep her and my coworkers were like, “OH COME ON! Keep her!”. I didn’t want the responsibility of another pet, but it actually worked out because she keeps my dog company and they are total playmates.
Here are some pictures of the litter when I had them lol
The little boy cat that my mom’s neighbor ended up taking in. So cute.

One on the right was a girl and found her a home with a vet tech, so I know she has a good home.

Mine. She was so ugly in pictures. Lol she’s cute now though

Here she is now…

lol whatever dude. myra knows how cool my dog is.
oh and i recently shared a story with some friends that was hilarious re: my cat .
i put her in my dog cage whenever she is too hyper in the middle of the night. it's a big cage and i have a little bathroom rug in there for comfort, but she claws at it a lot so there's all this little fringe everywhere. i happened to notice recently that all the fringe wasn't in the cage when i glanced at it and i went over and looked inside the cage and all the fringe was in this neatly constructed pile in the back of the cage with some poop on it. lol she made herself a toilet. that's ing smart if u ask me.
i was hysterically laughing when i discovered this. my friend and i were joking about her being on kitty survivor. next thing i know, i'll walk by the cage and she'll be sitting there making a fire with 2 sticks:stongue: |

Then a few nights after the toilet incident, she was acting up again so I put her in the cage. She started meowing for ever so I thought maybe she had to pee so I let her out…but she didn’t. so I just closed my bedroom door and locked her out. She was NOT having that. she sat there and clawed at my door for like 15 minutes meowing. I covered my head, thinking she would eventually stop. Then all of a sudden, I hear her pitter pattering down the hallway and she comes charging at my bedroom door and I hear a big “THUMP”.
I sat in bed laughing my ass off. She literally charged the door and thought she could bust it open by using her tiny little body weight. It’s almost scary how human-like her thought process must be.
“hmm, I bet I can bust this baby open if I come crashing into it” |
