other than the fact that you can walk from one end of the train to the other they look pretty much the same to me?
.. and I sure as hell hope you can't open the window based on the 2nd image.. mmm tunnel asbestos
lol I don't think i've ever heard the words 'customer service' and 'TTC' used in the same sentence
|
lol awesome. As for tunnel asbestos, you know they have a similar set up w the windows open in the Uk Tube (albeit at a different location) but how does that work? AC vs an open tunnel window? I'd take the AC...but depends on electricity... |

I'd rather them spend that money on extending the lines further north.
But they look alright, I guess. |

sometimes the AC just doesn't work.
I've been in England twice in my life and both times have been during a heatwave. I believe it reached 35C when I was there a couple summers ago and that was UNHEARD of over there. they had to shut down a few of the lines because of the heat and the tracks expanding...
But having the windows open on the tube was a great relief to the heat, especially on some of the other cars that didn't have a proper ventilation system.

TTC subway system needs glass walls/doors, like in Hong Kong.

As much as that would add to safety they'd be ugly as hell. I love the feeling of the warm breeze rushing by you as the train pulls into the station. |

while on the topic of ttc
i don't understand why did they reduce the number of ttc maps above doors. there used to be a map above each door and that is not the case any longer. i do not use the ttc a lot and really need the map sometimes. i find myself trekking to the door that has one and that can be hard during rush hour :( |

| Grab one of those foldable maps from a station and keep it in your bag. The entire TTC map should be printed on 3 back panels, no need to unfold the entire map. |

they have the map available for download on their website in PDF format. It's actually the entire ride guide with bus routes too. I saved it on my cell phone and really comes in handy sometimes.
