i've been making tunes for as long as i can remember without a sub. i'm buying a sub today so i'll have it ready for when i get back home. i've looked for a bunch of affordable subs but this one crossed my eye. 10 inch, affordable and great reviews. i'm wondering if anyone here has one and what they think of it? i don't have KRK monitors, i own a pair of events and i enjoy them, i just hate not having that 'extra' accurate low-end with a punch.

what events do you have? if you have any of the 6" line or ALP5s, then i'd say it is a good idea (if you prep your acoustics, ofcourse). otherwise i don't think it would be worth it. positioning and configuring a sub isn't really that easy to get perfect and there are some fundamental flaws with the idea of using a separate sub.
anyhow, of all the KRK products i think the RP10 is the only product i would buy. likewise, i have heard good things about the m-audio sub. when your only competition is a behringer, i think the KRK/M-Audio are good options at this price. |

and ya, i also heard good things about the m-audios but i'm kind of trying to stay a bit away from m-audio for now and especially behringer. i'm going to be remodelling my area when i get back, so i'll be doing some acoustic work as well |

Check out the Samson Resolv Sub88 or Samson Rubicon R10S. Their wireless remote features seem very handy. |

you could also look into the event sub, as it is specifically matched to alp5s and tr6s. i think it is called "sub100", but i am not sure. i think it has been discontinued. |
