I know this is not the first cd people would expect to see in these forums but for anyone who has listened to Williams' work like Narnia, Man On Fire, prior Metal Gear games, they should be aware of two things. 1) His music is ripe for great remixes, Hybrid has quite a few of them, and 2) his music is a nice blend of orchestrated music along with electronica.
For example, the new Metal Gear Solid 4 game special edition came with a partial soundtrack of mainly all his works from the game. It is all I am listening to now. Definitely shows where EDM producers could venture into should they decide to take on more film scores.
In fact Williams utilized samples from Hybrid - Zulu in two of the songs on the soundtrack, BB Corps and Mobs Alive. Don't expect BT's approach to film music since these pieces are more fast paced and meant to get the blood pumping, though there are nice non-beat driven tracks.
For anyone looking for nice orchestrated music with solid EDM overtones, look into this cd.
Wondering if anyone else has checked the music out via the cd or the game, which by the way rocks. |
