So I had the scariest wake-up call this morning...

... with a 6-magnitutde earthquake. House was shaking / vibrating, everything swaying, and the after-shocks went on for at least 2 hours after. :(
Very frightening experience...

How often do you get the earthquakes in Japan? I know it's pretty bad over there but what like, 2 or 3 times a year?
The last time I was in an earthquake was well over 10 years ago but I remember it's pretty ing freaky. |

| Yeah, I was reading that russian seismologists were predicting that Kurilski Island (formerly Japan's territory) would experience an earthquake of SUBSTANTIAL MAGNITUDE in a very near future. Considering the distance, they weren't too far off.. |

Fairly often, but they're usually small so you tend not to notice them, maybe a dangling like switch swinging, or feeling a slight jolt. But this was damn scary. Soon after there were police cars and ambulances going around my area with sirens on.
This was the one that woke me up...! I'm in the red area...!

| ing nuts man! hope everything is okay with the house and nothing is too damaged. 6 mag earthquake wake up call would be scary as i would have to say though. |
