The VST isn't new but I just discovered it and its FREE. Not only that but it makes some extremely nice and professional sounds. Puts many of my commercial vst's to shame.
Sure a lot of people may know of it already but if not GET IT.

Its actually 2, SuperWave Trance Pro and SuperWave pro.

I'm in love with this thing, so glad I found it tonight.

OK, well since we're laughing at people for just catching on to synths that have been around forever ;), I'm ashamed to say that I just picked up Novation V-Station because of the drastic price drop ($79!). It arrived today and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. I've owned a bunch of Novation hardware synths in the past and, in fact, I just sold my Supernova a few months ago, and this thing comes pretty close to rivaling them. After just a few hours of playing with V-Station, I've already recreated some of my favorite Supernova patches and I've even been able to import some of my old A-Station patches!

BTW, I didn't know that SW8, Pro, & Trance were now freebies - I paid for those things a few years ago and the company disappeared a few months later. They're very buggy on my system, so I never use them anyway.
Subtle
Dont forget Superwave Performer

Ditto here. I just sold my Novation Nova, but that V-Station deal is too good to pass up! We'll see how it stacks up to the hardware version, but I generally trust your opinions, cryophonik, so I decided to take the plunge as well.

Yeh weird, I just noticed how long its actually been out.
I'm guessing because copyrights were dropped on the products (if you go to KVR) they're legally shared now.

I did notice a ty bug that makes FL freeze if I open more than one at a time. Read other people were having this problem and manufacturers never resolved it.

But in regards to V-Station, for some reason it worked great on my old laptop but when I switched to a more powerful pc I can't run V-Station on it anymore.
I do like it, I don't think it makes particulary powerful sounds, but it makes clean quality sounds. Once you hit those higher octaves everything sounds the same for me, which is true with a lot of VST's.

i've had the two above mentioned freebies for a while... i use them on occasion... they're pretty good for free synths i guess

Superwave kind of sucks.
Now, Synth1 and Xhip on the other hand are great freeware synths.

haha! This is crazy, I was on youtube and saw Synth1. Downloaded it and was thinking HOLY this thing is insane.

Came here to post it and saw your post.
I always thought commercial was better but Synth1 is no ing joke. Sounds so close to analog, easy to use and barely uses cpu.

Gonna go check out Xhip now. Thanks!

Hey if anyone knows where there are any active xhip banks please let me know.
I got the vst but I can't find any banks to see how it works, plus the interface is confusing. Can't even figure out how to change the wav form.
