I just got back from being out and around Asia for 4 months. It rocked!!!

Here is my trip summed up:

Hit up Fukuoka, Japan. What a culture shock. We were there during the week, so I didn't get to do any mad clubbing. I just missed Marco Bailey at this club that bring down talent and was going to miss Francois K. It was cold yet the girls still wore shorts. I thought that was funny. I had some of the best Japanese food ever and it was not expensive. The language barrier sucked big balls. I was getting so frustrated I wanted to knock out some Asians like bowling pins. Oh yeah, salt in a bowl sitting outside the club means no foreigners allowed. We got invited to this local joint that had all you can drink and that was fun times.

Busan, Korea. The people here were more open toward talking to people that were not of their kind. I hit up this strip of clubs/bars and had the chance to play at one, but guess what...I didn't have my cd's with me! Anyhow, this place had lots of girls around, but they wanted you to buy them drinks yada yada. All the guys had fun. The language barrier was a little easier to get around.

Hong Kong. This place simply rocks hands down. I could live in this place. It was easy to communicate, easy to get around, awesome, awesome. I even got to play at a place while I was there. I was approached by a "private" club promoter from across the street because he was thinking I was going to live there and wanted me to play at this place. I took a look inside and it def was a place I would of loved to play in. Anyhow, at this other place the owner was very happy with what I played and the people I brought. He gave me his email address and number for future reference. I played for 3 hours at that place. While I was there Tiesto played in an outdoor venue near by. I didn't go.

Guam. Hmm..more of a relaxing place for me. It is a U.S. territory, so after months I finally saw a U.S. dollar. I got to play at a the islands best club and it was a sick place. DJ booth raised up, speakers all in the right places, but the big problem is that I played at the wrong time. We thought the Asian tourist would take over and go crazy, but it was filled with Americans that only wanted MTV top 40 . I played for a little bit and let the residents take it back over.

Hawaii. Damn, I never thought I would make it to this place, but they do have some things going on, but not too much. I just hung out though and enjoyed the scenery.

Now I'm back in San Diego. When I come to TX, it will only be for a few weeks at a time like twice a year. How long will I be in San Diego...I don't know that just yet. I love the climate though...today the high was like 72, talk about summer :)

Hope you enjoyed this read.

Always a pleasure to hear from you Ray. Great to see that you're doing well and living the good life. Nice intel on the spots because you make Hong Kong sound like somewhere I would like to spend some time in. Best wishes to you and your family. Stay safe and know that we still remember you even though you're out in Cali now. Definitely let us know when you will be back in Texas. Be safe my friend.
