The earth will open up and swallow both teams? I had hoped for that during the Champions League...but alas, didn't happen :(
I say Netherlands or Spain to win. |

I voted netherlands. BUT if italy or france progress then I think one of them could go all the way.
The knock outs is where experience sometimes has the advantage over youth. |

| Out of Holland, Portugal and Spain I feel Holland is the only team that can last till the end although Spain is also a strong contester. Portugal seem to crack towards the finals as the pressure is immense, same goes for Spain. So my vote goes to Holland who I think can outlast and don't write off the German's. Their performaces have been mediocre but they have an ice cool mentality in big pressure games. |

Huge Dutch contingent on TA...
Don't worry, they'll play Italy in the semi's and miss, like, 5 PKs. As usual. |

Probably. I voted for them, but I rly doubt they would win, their football is too pretty to win smth serious :]] |

I'm going for Holland. The football they play is even better than during the WC in France in '98, and thats saying alot.
Off course atm they've only played two games yet whereas in 98 they made it straight to the semis. |

thing is, the team that performs best in the group stages is seldom the one that goes all the way when it comes to major tournaments, which is why i can't see holland taking it :| ..other teams will pick up on their strong points and take extra measures to cancel them out in the knockout stages
i think croatia have a pretty strong chance this year. their play hasn't been as impressive but they've been grinding out the results they've needed and seem to have great drive/morale under bilic. he strikes me as a tournament-winning manager |
