But still sona had 2000 people intheir club when tiesto came last time. Does that little extra room make it worth the $60 price and all this hype.. Maybe I am wrong, just surprised me a little.

Dude, you got it wrong. Aria is a total of ~22000 foot which is ALL the rooms, balcony and lounge... its not one room of 22000 sq foot. That's why it can hold something like 2000 people...

Imagine a big square of about 45 meters by 45 meters... it could hold easy 3000.

What you all think?

eheheh

Exactly, Aria is 25 000 square feet but in every rooms and there is a room not open yet.
The main room at Aria with the blacony and the small entrance room is 11 000 square feet.

The ice surface at Molson center is about 20 000 - 25 000 square feet.
Capacity at Aria is a bit over 2000 people.

Ok so all i am asking is how many people would 15000 square foot dance dance floor fit? you guys have all confused me.

miche (lebanese) & sultan (egyptian)....sunday night residents at living (last year, haven't been yet this year)...they played some nice tech house...actually both went to mcgill (mech eng) so this thing started as a hobby for them...had an alternative band before that called silent bystander that released a couple of cds but no clue where its at now...and they opened for nick warren at sona last year (i think it was warren, my mind isn't completely clear...lets just say i was having a momentary lapse of reason).
basically don't worry, they're really good, but i hope they get to know the sound system well....oh and sultan is the one with the dreadlocks, if he's still growing 'em..

and i don't wanna flame but too many people here spread bad vibes about the events even before they start, you just worry too in' much :nervous: ......just chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillll
don't we all pop our medicine and have fun in the end...?
AM I WRONG?

I'm in good health I don't need medicine.

Take care of yourself.

it's sad to see people are on the scene because of the pilles more than for the music ... oh well , to each his own

lol usually I'm the one putting down people who are in it for the drugs...its funny to see it coming back to me...I guess that karma is true...(btw over the past year most of the time i'd just pop a half to keep me up)..but whatever..
so for those that didn't notice, i was not serious about the "medicine fixing everything"...the REAL reason why I don't really blame 514 when its really crowded is this:
when they have a big dj, they can do one of two things...either really limit the number of tickets so its not crowded, or sell more than capacity (which is what they do).
If they go for the first option, think of how many people would not get the chance to see these dj's that come what, once a year? one of these could be you...a couple of friends are going, and you have the money and time and "medicine" all set but they ran out of tickets way too early...personally, i'm willing to sacrifice a little bit of elbow room so that everyone gets a chance to see sasha & digweed, or tiesto, or nick warren or whoever graces our belle province with his/her presence...after all, isn't selflessness part of the whole rave spirit?
i rest my case
(besides, if its crowded just shoot up some H and you'll be fine :disbelief )
