I don't get that. Wouldn't not having déjà vus make me the robot? |
I think of it along the lines of perpetual failures of an operating system - like deja vus is just a ripple in the absolutely ruined registry of my personal operating system, and when it happens it's basically my programming failing and fooling me into flawed thinking.
I don't think it makes any logical sense, but that's how it plays out in my brain (errr, hard drive?). |

I kind of figured that out when I almost impaled myself with a spoon. :( |

Exactly. Like that episode of Star Trek TNG where the holodeck ruined everyone's weekend. |

I just had this amazing idea for a movie:
So nature is pissed at us for destroying it, so plants begin producing a substance that causes people to commit suicide have déjà vus. People start acting weird, and soon the phenomenon spreads, with every single person on the planet having a permanent déjà vu. This causes time, which is just a concept of the human mind, to collapse, and sends all of us back in time, to a point before pollution has started. Of course mankind doesn't learn from it and makes the same mistakes again. Therefore, the whole process repeats itself over and over again, making it a genuine déjà vu. Oh, and I'll somehow work a groundhog into it, too.
Edit: tantative title: Déjà happening :gsmile: |

| It happens to me once every few months. I always say "deja vu" out loud when it does. :) |

First one I ever remember was in the Polish Delicatessen store looking at a row of strawberry jam when I was about 6 years old.
Whenever I know it's happening I always look around me and for about 5-10 seconds I can feel what will happen next. |
