I couldnt imagine the frustration to do this all day. I have a tough time walking my dad through comp stuff.

My friends mom fell for buying a PS3 as a bluray player beacuse the guy said it would make her regular DVDs look high def. :stongue:

Not if we at least try to keep up (like Jive's grandfather) and/or realise it's pointless to stick to old habits if the paper always gets jammed! :p

I think the older folks currently are intimdated of tech stuff...as our gen ages we will be a bit more savy on these things...but I also think they thought that too.:(

The problem is that technology went from being a slowly persistent daily exposure, to an insanely quickly changing world. We went from computers pretty much just in the work place and in schools, to mobile phones being more powerful than a computer from 15 years ago. Technological change is happening at such an "alarming" rate for them, it is impossible to keep up. So really it is just a generational thing, that will disappear when their age group finally dies out.

They did. Just face it. You're going to be a crotchety old curmudgeon, just like every other old fart you know. It's all part of the (inability to cope with) the aging process.
