| There was a thread containing a video of this guy getting beat down in Brazil. Very graphic security footage of 10 guys laying boots to some dude, kicking him in the head and doing a double-foot jump on his face. It seemed like a good subject for discussion but when I went to reply, the thread was gone. |

Was it the guy attacked by skinhead in São Paulo?

Another scene of violence shocked Brazil this past Sunday, June 8. A group of 15 men attacked and almost beat to death a police officer at one of the most boisterous areas of the Brazilian southeast city of São Paulo: Augusta Street, close to Paulista Avenue, one of the town's major financial districts.
The brutality occurred, when a young Afro-Brazilian walking down Augusta Street around 4 am was surrounded by skinheads, a neo-Nazi group. After being called "******" by his aggressors, the victim was attacked. A local police officer, who was in the area at the moment of the attack, tried to intervene, with no luck.
The police official was brutally attacked by the gang, who carried weapons including a metal bar. His face was completely disfigured following the episode. A cyclist, who was passing by during the incident, immediately called the local police station. Only five gang members ended up being arrested. Every one of them had a previous criminal record.
It is not the first time an incident of this nature has occurred in São Paulo. In February 2007, University professor Alessandro Ferreira de Araújo was also a victim of the skinhead violence, that time for being homosexual.
According to Decradi (Department of Police for Racial crimes and Racial Intolerance), there are approximately 3000 gang members listed in their database, who are involved in some type of hatred activity.
Punk Threat, Punk addiction, Hooligan Impact, Front 88 to name a
few are some of the names. Gang members normally wear steel boots, camouflage shirts and suspenders. Most of these gangs preach hatred against, Jews, Afro-Brazilians, and homosexuals.
This year Brazil is celebrating 120 years of abolition of slavery. According to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), in southeastern Brazil close to 40% of the population is Afro-Brazilian, while in the North and Northeast region this number jumps to 75%. |

This kind of crime here in Brazil is so bizarre - Black people more often than not have European ancestors, and white people can trace their roots back to some African slave (I know I can). Jews are almost unheard of, and the ones that do live here keep a low profile. They also have a particular hatred against North-Easterners, which doesn't make much sense either. And there are reports that they've been ganging up on emo kids as well, mostly in São Paulo, Brazil's most cosmopolitan city.
I wish I could tell you more about these motherless bastards but I've got to go now. I think we cant talk about Nazis in Brazil, Russia and other countries where the existence of such groups is quite surprising. |

| I heard about this huge organized emo-kids beating in Mexico City, too. Racism/pure hatred of people never makes any sense. You'd think South African Blacks would be more 'sensitive' then you hear about massacres on refugees from neighboring Zimbabwe due to racism. Same goes for little Neo-Nazi cells in Israel(!) and basically any National-Socialism-celebrating activity in former Soview countries. Implying those bastards would actually act "politically" would be a gross overestimation. I't purely barbaric, compensating ineferiorities of their own miserable lives which are projected on scapegoats of all sorts. |

This is what saddens me the most: Skinheads aren't all haters. As a matter of fact, it's just a loud minority that hijacked the whole label. Here is an example of skinheads with brains in their heads:
