Valve is offering a free weekend of Team Fortress 2. It's a team based first person shooter that offers a class for just about anyones play style. It's a very casual game, so it's easy to pick up for a first time player. With that said, it's also very tactical in it's own way, and every class serves a purpose, ensuring that you'll always find something to enjoy.

Valve today announced a set of new releases for Team Fortress 2, the title named Multiplayer Game of the Year by PC Gamer and Gamespy.com. The main event of the week is the Pyro Update, which was made available this Thursday and contains three unlockable new weapons for the Pyro plus 35 new achievements. In addition, two user-created maps are included to highlight the great work being done in the community and distribute those works to all TF2 players..
You can also try the first 11 levels of Portal for free.
*edit* - After downloading the game, you need to restart Steam in order to play it. Just right click the black & white icon on the bottom right of your screen and exit, then reopen it. :)

It's the best ty game I've ever played.
It's right up there with the original Resident Evil on PS1 and Trespasser.
oh and the air compression is hilarious. Knocking ubered medics away from their target is great.
I'm a little behind. Have they managed to hack this one all to with the cheats from the original TFC? Aim hack, auto bunny hop, etc.?

im sure there are hacks but they are very rare now.

Thank god. I used to watch my friends play clan matches all the time. Some of those guys were using hacks out the ass. I mean, really, you can only take so many concs before you start losing the ability to nail a guy with every single bullet. :rolleyes:
