Through my elementary studies, all I can say is that time travel to the past is not possible. Boning your mom or killing yourself, can't do it. Traveling to the future is and has always been possible, although it takes very high speeds to actually notice a difference (120mph for 24 hours in a GT2 does not suffice).
Now, taking a dimension device, and entering yourself into a different dimension's timeline might be possible, say if your energy is transfered to the other universe w/o conflict to conservation. Then you could bone your alternate self's mother, and destroy his timeline.
I read in a book a couple of weeks ago that if you (on earth) got in a spaceship with a telescope and went to Planet XYZ (travelling at .99999999999999999% speed of light for X years) and followed a specific curve in the universe to planet XYZ, you can actually beat the light photons and, using the telescope, see yourself taking off from earth.
Terminator is a horrible series to showcase time travel. stupid Fate message. |
